Low Calorie, Low Carb Momo's!
A great way to add more veggies and fibre to your & your kid's diet!
Serving Size: 4 momo's
4 cabbage leaves
½ cup spring onion (finely chopped)
¼th cup carrot (finely chopped)
½ cup capsicum (finely chopped)
1 garlic pod (finely chopped)
1 green chilly (finely chopped)
½ tsp black pepper powder
Salt as per taste
1 tsp butter
Add 2 glasses of water in a vessel and bring it to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt and cabbage leaves. Allow it to cook for 5-7 mins or till it turns soft.
Strain the leaves and keep them aside.
In a pan heat the butter, add green chilies, garlic, spring onion, carrot, capsicum, salt & black pepper powder & saute it on low flame for 3-5mins.
Now take the leaves, cut the lower hard edge of the leaves & discard them.
Add 1 spoonful of the mixture on the cabbage leaves and roll it up.
Repeat steps 4 & 5 to make the remaining 3 momos.
Now steam them for 5mins.
Serve hot with chutney.
